Client Relations Specialist
Benesch’s Baltimore office is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Client Relations Specialist. As part of our Americans with Disabilities Act Compliance team, you will act as a liaison between Benesch and the Maryland Transit Administration and will play a key role in managing the day-to-day activities of our field staff and client relations. Your expertise and insights will contribute to the development of a safe, accessible, and inclusive transit system in Baltimore.
Location
This position will work out of our Baltimore office on a hybrid work schedule.
The Impact You Will Have
- Effectively develop and manage work plans, staffing, deadlines, and budgets for multiple complex assignments simultaneously
- Guide, oversee, and coach transit monitors, providing constructive feedback on project participation and overall career development
- Serve as the primary contact for the client on new assignments
- Work products are expected to be high-quality and client ready
- Assist with the scope, schedule, and budget tracking for the project, including providing invoicing support to accounting
- Determine the necessary equipment, materials and resources needed for project assignments
- Work closely with key stakeholders to keep them up to date with the project progress and important developments
- Interview and hire the necessary project workforce and complete the onboarding paperwork per client needs
- Prepare progress reports (weekly and monthly reporting), identifying issues, risks and managing changes
- Ensure team compliance with standards and quality control procedures
- Serve as a contact for the Baltimore office and ensure the site is stocked and equipped (including supplies ordering, incoming and outgoing mail, etc.)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including engineers, urban designers, and community stakeholders, to integrate complete streets concepts into transportation infrastructure projects
What You Will Need
- A high school diploma or higher
- Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in customer service, management, or a related field
- Experience working with Maryland Transit Administration preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex and time-sensitive challenges and propose effective solutions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex information to diverse audiences
- Strong collaboration and project management abilities, with the capacity to work effectively independently as well as with multiple staff members and meet project deadlines
The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in accordance with the Maryland Pay Transparency Law. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on numerous factors, including but not limited to individual education, qualifications, prior work experience, and geographic location. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary, overtime, and bonuses.
